Essentially they are both a type of friendly bacteria product and provide different strains of bacteria / yeast.

The Advanced Flora is your more typical type, providing Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains of bacteria.  These are the types of bacteria you find in most friendly bacteria supplements (but we consider ours one of the best because it is resistant to acid in the stomach, it is high strength (20bn cfu), and contains particularly beneficial strains of those types of bacteria).

The Advanced Protection provides a very specific strain of yeast, known as Saccharomyces Boulardii.

Both products have huge potential benefits, both are slightly different to each other, and both can work very well alongside each other.

If taking antibiotics (or any kind of natural antibacterial protocol), we would suggest there are benefits to both if you are able to afford it, as antibiotics can do a lot of damage and taking steps to minimise that is so important.

If travelling abroad, or spending time camping / swimming outside, and you want to protect the health of your gut as much as possible whilst doing that, we would recommend the Advanced Protection.

For general optimal health, then we normally recommend at least starting with the Advanced Flora.

For diarrhea issues, obviously check with your doctor first as we cant say use something to treat your condition, but we would normally recommend starting with the Advanced Protection.

Finally, it would come down personal response / preference too. If you didn’t think one was benefiting you, then it would be worth trying the other. Everyone is different and respond different to different types.  If things are relatively good / stable in terms of symptoms / general health, then it would be worth cycling between them (one pot of one, followed by one of the other, and so on).
